1. The Synthesis Matrix
Breeding in Catch And Tame is officially known as Genetic Synthesis. It is a crafting system where two distinct entities are algorithmically merged to create a higher-tier asset. Success isn't guaranteed; it relies on a hidden Luck Integer.
2. The Heart Catalyst
To initiate any synthesis, you must use a Heart. This consumable catalyst is required for the merge protocol. Without it, the "Combine" button will remain locked. Pro Tip: Stockpile these for high-tier attempts!
3. Optimizing Luck (Feeding)
CRITICAL: Feeding your penned animals Steaks increases their internal Luck stat. High luck dramatically reduces the failure rate of synthesis and is practically required for Mythical ($100M+ value) recipes.
4. Synthesis Outcomes
Success: A new, higher-tier egg or
pet is generated (e.g., Lion + Tiger = Elephant).
Failure: The operation
fails, and you typically retain the dominant parent animal, losing the secondary parent and
the Heart catalyst.
